Celebrating spring everyday

Our heath depends on our mind as well, not only what we eat or about medical care.
Creating our environment and having discipline in everything we do is as important.
In my experience I found many people pretending happiness, spirituality, sanity, you name it, but still lost and very unhappy people with no courage to show themselves as they are.
Feeling at our best it’s a full time job not to impress others but to find our heaven on hearth, the best as we can because we all deserve it!
It’s only natural that after we work on our true happiness we will feel pleasure in being healthy and taking care of ourselves.
Waking up with a smile on our face everyday and loving who we are it’s the best gift we can give ourselves.
All the healthy ingredients , spices and herbs we so much want in our food is a consequence of the way we feel and how much we want to celebrate what I call as the spring within.
Taking care of our body and feeding our senses with all the treasures life has put within our reach is perfection.
What best way we have to get our strength to pass through life’s challenges?!

Tribute to Curry

Curry powder seems to have lots of beneficial properties maybe due to 2 spices in it, Turmeric and Curcumin.
Curry powder is brought to my Hall of Fame as one of the guardian angels of our health to share it’s benefits in preventing certain diseases, such as cancer and Alzheimer's.
As usual, if taken in small doses and occasionally, like everything in life when taken in excess it does more harm then good to your health. Balance is the key in everything.
Curcumin is in mustard as well and contributes to better memory and can prevent on a number of brain degenerative diseases acting as an antioxidant too.
Tumeric is, among other things, an anti-inflammatory and probably the hero of them all because it acts as a super spice in our body helping it fight against many bad guys like HIV, cancer, protects the cardiovascular system etc.
Whatever the combination of spices we choose to create our curry powder make sure to include these two because we need all the food and spices that are beneficial to our health and there for in our body’s decay prevention and maybe we start using food with the intention of taking care of our body and not so much to damage it.
Curry leaves seem to have even more beneficial properties so it’s something to check it out too and make the best of it.
In a very stressful life style we live in, for me it’s not only in my comfy foods but when I have digestive conditions as well, and what a great taste curry has. I’m a big fan of good tasty food and if it is exotic even better and hey, if it helps my health against so many aggressions I’m delighted to welcome them in my life always.

I’m starting to find myself very close to Martha Stewart role model, but I do find therapeutic matching what I feel inside with my environment.
Only now in my 40s I find women inspiring and a good source of beauty to feed on in many things they do daily, like the way they express themselves by blogging and by their art.
Same with me I’m discovering a beautiful grown up women in everything I give myself into I’m in more contact with different things than before, I feel more free and alive to experience life in my feelings and thoughts of it all.
Maybe because I’m not a mother and not have to take care of others but myself, I do feel pleasure in organizing and cleaning my inner and outside house that I’m not sure those that have to do it without a choice have it as well.
Taking care of myself and pampering me is my hobby and more will come after this one because I still have plenty of dreams to become hobbies in time, like photography, gardening, volunteering, hmmmmmm… Not sure if I still want to practice sky diving, getting wiser or just the feeling of living a little longer… LOL
One thing is for sure still lots of choices to live well and enjoy life to the fullest and I’m finding more and more my place in this new life I’m recreating for myself so fingers crossed…

Herbs and spices are used for thousands of years in medicine as well as in giving flavor to food.
Most of us use it for flavor, whatever the case they always have some effect on our body and make good or not so good reactions, depending on our DNA or our health.
I like to combine knowledge from various sources and try it before believing it works for me too, not taking all I read about it as the absolute truth.
I did found out, despite all the controversy that, it does make sense our blood type will react to food and spices differently and some food can help us heal fast and better than others.
Although I think no official independent study has been made about it, I have tried it, I’m still following the suggestions for my blood type and yes, they did wonders for my digestive system and all the little “things” I had collected over the years with my bad habits of eating depending on my mood was at the time I had to prepare my meals.
I know which ingredients I need to have better blood circulation, or take care of a throat inflammation, etc.
Using food for more than taste or to feed our emotional needs it’s something new to me and change life’s perspective on how we live and take care of ourselves…
Details make all the difference when it comes to feel good and maintain our health the best that we can.

Starting over, which is where I am right now creating the life I always meant to have, I find myself daydreaming with a terrace in my new house with it lots of new ideas like planting aromatic Herbs and vegetables to use in my cooking creations but all in individual nice pots.
A place to relax, to make barbecues but with good taste because all things from now on have to be as I feel inside and yes the word is, beautiful.
I want to create a home at my image in essence, a place I will have all I need and all the recreation I want when I want it.
Yes I know, 42 years old and I sound an old lady LOL but I lived so much and I had so many experiences so much parties and fun , now I just want time for myself, I miss me and I need to stop, just be with me until I leave life when my day comes…
God, I miss watching sunsets from the wall of my childhood home, and to eat fruit right from the trees... Oh yes I want trees as well, I want all that makes me happy back into my life.
A swimming pool... Why not?! Well, my happiness doesn’t depend on any of it but I do feel like a little girl again, with simple but fun things to play with and yes that matches the happiness I already feel inside.
Not that I’m starting to become a hermit, but because it’s my nature to be one… I can’t help it I love being with me and never found a better company, not that I’ve looked for one but it’s true, I love being with me and this new home will be my 2nd paradise.
Maybe some people are right when they say Capricorns are born old in essence and when they reach adult life they start becoming younger and younger till they feel like children again but wiser, that’s how I feel and it’s so much fun freeing myself from that serious me and now I can play, have fun with a heart as pure as a child’s because I found myself and I made simple all that was complex and made me retract from expressing what I really feel, and who I am.
The truth is, I’m home again and it’s not made of wood and stone but my inner home, I’m back and so happy I could fly.

What is important...?

Today I do have to talk about something that does bother me and doesn’t seem to end.
But first I have a question: WHAT IS WRONG WITH WOMEN TODAY!?
Just don’t understand it at all, are we walking backwards? Maybe it’s just me…
Maybe they are just entertainment TV shows…
Why would a woman need a gay man to show her how bad or how good she can dress?
Do we tell them how they should dress?
Is this about minorities or just TV audiences? (Yes I do like to question things…)
Women still have a long way to be in society as strong as men, but in order to do so we need to stand up for our values, not for theirs.
We don’t need to dress better by men nor to serve men, but ourselves. So if we want respect we have to show it first, never to vow, never to give up our power.
And by the way, just an idea, why can’t we all be citizens of the world instead of having our own culture just because we are gay, bisexual, transsexual or hetro? Really, 21st century and we still care about other people’s sexual preferences…? I never define myself by that, but than again what do I know…
Life is too short to waist time with small stuff, why not just fight for our rights not for publicity…?

Baking Secrets...

More and more I want my comfy everything, clothes, food, life…
I did find out that even though cakes need to have some fat to be smooth and whatever, I can bake the same cake but low in fat and it’s as great or better than the original one, oh and yes with less sugar as well!
So how many of those inconvenient trues are out there, about food?! (Lol)
I just did a yoghurt cake with a little virgin olive oil, and I got a very beautiful yummy nutritious cake!
I do have a passion for Spelt flour and it’s better than any other I ever tried, and tastes so good… So next I will talk a little about it.
I’m a rebel by nature and I’m tempted to make a movie about the inconvenient truth of recipes LOL
Who wins with all those lies about so much fat, so much sugar? Hmmmmmm…
And who is so interested in maintaining the lie that what is healthy tastes bad or doesn’t taste at all?!! (Bad cooks I guess…) The ingredients do cost more, never knew why, but I do feel better and with more energy when I eat good healthy products, so no more of my money to those who keep lying to us in all those twilight zone’s recipes…
Oh no pictures of the cake and no autographs either. (Yet...)

So here it is some info about the other love of my comfy food;

SPELT was an important staple in parts of Europe from the Bronze Age to medieval times. Closely related to common wheat and is not suitable for people with celiac disease. Although some with wheat allergy or wheat intolerance can tolerate it.
Has high water solubility, so the nutrients are easily absorbed by the body. Spelt contains special carbohydrates which are an important factor in blood clotting and stimulating the body's immune system. It is also a high fiber resource with large amounts of B-complex vitamins, total protein content is from 10 to 25% greater than the common varieties of commercial wheat.
